Selective Gold Plating

What is selective gold plating? A simple answer is the process of electroplating part of an item whilst leaving the remaining part of it untouched in its original finish.

The image above shows a sterling silver ring which has been selectively gold plated in 18 carat gold.

We use this method of electroplating on all types of jewellery, custom vehicle work, taps, showers, musical instruments & pretty much anything our customers request from us. The ring in the example image could have been selectively plated in yellow gold & rose gold whilst still leaving the internal surface & top edges in sterling silver.
